Bio-Ethanol Burners & Inserts
Build a real flame into almost any wall, fireplace or piece of furniture. Our bio-ethanol burners and inserts need no chimney or flue, from simple manual burners to electronic burners with remote and app control.
Manual or electronic? Manual burners are lit by hand and controlled with a shutter tool: simple, reliable and affordable. Electronic burners such as the Decoflame Denver range add push-button ignition, adjustable flame height, remote control and, on Denver F6, app control and a large tank for longer burns.
Choosing a size. Pick the burner length to suit your opening. Longer burners give a wider flame and usually need a larger room, so check the minimum room size on each product page.
Installation. Burners are designed to be built in, following the manufacturer's cut-out, clearance and air-gap details in the Decoflame installation documents.
Browse all bioethanol fires, or see water vapour fires for a flame effect without combustion.
Room size and ventilation. Every bio-ethanol fire has a manufacturer's minimum room size, shown on each product page where Decoflame publishes one (otherwise marked TBC). Use the fire only in a room at least that large, and keep it ventilated while the fire burns (an open trickle vent or slightly open window). Never refill a burner while it is alight or still warm, use only bio-ethanol fuel made for fireplaces, and keep the clearances in the installation manual.
Frequently asked questions
Can I fit a bio-ethanol burner in a media wall?
Yes, if the wall is built to the manufacturer's cut-out and clearance details.
Do I need a flue?
No. The room must still be ventilated and meet the minimum room size.
